Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Load agitator
   • Check job requirements
   • Position agitator for loading
   • Load agitator with correct concrete batch
   • Check and action any special requirements
   • Check that slump is to specification and make necessary adjustments
2. Deliver concrete
   • Deliver concrete without delay
   • Position vehicle or agitator as required by safety needs and if practical customer requirements
   • Report breakdowns or lengthy delays en route to relevant person
   • Maintain product quality as per requirements and procedures
3. Conform to site protocols
   • Check access to site with customer
   • Assess site conditions and enter in a manner suited to the conditions, load and site requirements
   • Mix concrete on site according to quality requirements
   • Discharge concrete as required by customer
   • Wash down chutes and agitator in the area designated by the customer
   • Complete all records
4. Rectify routine problems
   • Identify and rectify faults and equipment failure
   • Maintain records and log books of equipment operations
   • Identify non-routine problems and report to designated person
5. Control hazards
   • Identify concrete delivery hazards
   • Assess the risks arising from those hazards
   • Implement measures to control those risks
   • Check job requirements
